Exopolitics Journal- Submissions Policy

The Exopolitics Journal accepts submissions relating to the field of exopolitics broadly defined as the key actors, institutions and processes associated with the extraterrestrial hypothesis. To inquire about the applicability of topics, contact journal@exopoliticsinstitute.org.

The Exopolitics Journal seeks analytical articles that further global understanding of the exopolitics paradigm, and/or evidence concerning extraterrestrial life. Articles are expected to be academically rigorous with appropriate referencing, and approximately five thousand words in length. An abstract of approximately 150-250 words should be included.

Upon receipt of your article, it will reviewed by the Chief Editor and a member of the Editorial Advisory Board who will make an evaluation of its suitability for the Journal.

When submitting an article, please email the article to: journal@exopoliticsinstitute.org.

Make sure to include:

  • The article in either Word, WordPerfect, or Rich Text format,
  • A biographical statement about yourself,
  • A 150-250 word abstract,
  • and Your contact information.

In addition to ensuring the files are in an accessible word processing format, texts should follow the guidelines for formatting from the Chicago Manual of Style. Articles should include footnotes, references, and where necessary tables and figures. If figures are submitted, if possible submit these as separate graphics files.

While the Exopolitics Journal will occasionally reprint an article with the author’s and publisher's consent where the original is not widely available in print and not available elsewhere on the Internet, we expect that other submissions will consist of primarily original work not published elsewhere.
